The Printing Process
Welcome to my page on Garment Printing. First, I would like to explain a little about the process I use to print on t-shirts, hats, tote bags and anything else I can think of. I love the printing process and the great results I am getting with my Epson F2100 DTG Printer.
Direct-to-garment printing is a process of printing on textiles using specialized ink jet technology. My printer has a platen that holds the garment in a fixed position and the ink sprays onto the garment. Typically the garment is pre-treated with a solution that allows a stronger bond between the garment fibers and the ink. The resulting print is sharper than traditional printing methods. There is no long setup or clean-up process, and I can print just one single shirt for a minimal cost.
I will be posting photos of the logos and photos that I have printed for family, friends, and other people that would like to see their logo in print. I hope you enjoy viewing my creations. Please feel free to comment or leave a message for me on what you think about the printing process or the photos of my finished work!
Shannon Mary Sunshine Original Scarf Designs Project
This is a logo that my good friend Shannon uses for her business, Shannon Mary Sunshine Original Scarf Designs. I was able to add color and print it on a tote bag.
Here is a photo of the design that was edited from the black and white original logo, to a color logo, and then the final printed tote bag. It was an interesting and fun project from start to finish. You can click on the link above in this post to go to Shannon's website and see her original designs.
Thank You for your interest in my work!
Vintage Wildflower Logo
Vintage Wildflower is a jewelry business based in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The Owner, Erica Boudreau, asked me to print her new logo on a bag to see how it would look. After showing her the final product these were her comments:
"OMG, I love it! The red logo looks great on a white tote bag! Thank you so much Robert!
I am learning so much about the printing process and how color looks on various backgrounds and garments.
The Perfect Hat
The next step in the creative printing process is a ball cap with a great picture or logo on it.
The Epson F2100 Direct To Garment printer has special platen sizes and brackets so I can print on a variety of caps and visors. It is even possible to print on the side of a hat or cap depending on the design requested. The set-up I have in my studio makes it easy to print hats with custom artwork or a logo. As you can see, everything I am wearing I have made using my DTG printer. The socks, hat, and shirt were made by me using my F2100 printer.
Wheelie Awesome
I designed this t-shirt for myself. I wanted something that states how we can be even if we are in a wheelchair. I altered the text using photoshop and designed the image. Let me know what you think about it.
Luna
Luna was my aunt and uncle's dog, who died in 2024. She was the most loyal, loving, patient, and friendliest dog. She was very intimidating looking if you didn't know her, but she was an absolute love, and she loved my dog Patches. They were the best of friends. This hat was made for my aunt Karen.
